TUCSON, AZ – Residents of Pima County who could use help with things like job training, finding a good preschool or utilities, and rental assistance can connect with resources at the next county resource fair.
The county’s Department of Community Development and Workforce is hosting the fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 5 at Freedom Park, 5000 E. 29th St in Tucson. The fair is free and open to all.
People from county departments including the health department, community outreach, youth programs, veterans programs, county attorney’s office and public library will be on hand to advise on how to access their services, according to a county news release.
In addition to resource information, there will also be games for children, raffles and giveaways, in addition to free COVID-19 vaccines and light snacks.
“Pima County One-Stop is hosting this resource fair because sometimes the 8 to 5 hour work isn’t accessible to everyone,” said Eckstrom, who helped organize the event. “By having this event on the weekend, we are able to help more people. If anyone has a problem or needs something, we probably have an answer.”
Those attending the fair are encouraged to follow COVID-19 safety protocols, including wearing a mask and social distancing when possible.
