The national weather forecast for Saturday, June 11, 2022

Thunderstorms are expected to rumble along the East Coast

from central New Jersey to Florida today. Meanwhile, spotted

showers will wet some areas further north of

Ohio through Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey and New York

State. To the west, thunderstorms are also expected in

central and southern Minnesota, northern and central Iowa

and much of Wisconsin and the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.

Afternoon thunderstorms can produce more lightning than

rain in eastern Arizona and western New Mexico. The storms go

also rumble through southern Montana. Heavy rains will lift

the risk of flooding in far eastern Washington, the northeast

Oregon, northern and central Idaho and northwestern Montana.

Record heat will continue from the valleys of

California desert southwest and much of Texas.
