San Diego County Mountain’s Luck for Wet Weather Could Drift Inland – NBC 7 San Diego

Mountain communities in San Diego County face potentially wet weather on Friday and that chance of downpours could spread to our interior valleys.

Thanks to some moisture east of Arizona and New Mexico, mountainous areas of the county have a chance of rain as that moisture moves toward our region.

“The mountains will get another chance for a downpour or thunderstorm this afternoon and we’ll be watching to see if any try to drift into our interior valleys,” said NBC 7 meteorologist Sheena Parveen. “That could also be the case for tomorrow.”

Although the possibility is slim, there is even a chance of showers wandering near the coast.

“…if these storms do manage to drift into our inland valleys, there’s a very small chance that any of them could drift to the coast, but again, it will be mostly dry there,” predicted Parveen.

The rest of the department will experience mild temperatures.
