NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR APPEALS IN VARIANCE OF ZONING ORDINANCE FOR ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MINNESOTA Notice is hereby given that the St. Louis County Board of Adjustment will hold a hybrid virtual and in-person public hearing on Thursday, March 17, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the Government Services Center, 201 South 3rd Avenue West, Virginia, MN, regarding the following: 1. Adam Leinonen, request for relief from St. Louis County Zoning Ordinance 62, Article III, Section 3.2, to permit commercial development (mini storage) to exceed the maximum batch coverage of 10%. E 300 feet from W1/2 from NE1/4 from SE1/4, S27, T63N, R17W (unorganized) – 9:15 a.m. 2. Douglas and Mary Sue Mertens, appeal for relief from Zoning Ordinance 62 of the St. Louis County, Article IV, Section 4.3 D, to allow an addition to a nonconforming main structure between 25 feet and the shoreline impact zone to exceed 200 square feet. Plat of Matson Beach Lots 15 & 16, S19, T57N, R17W (Fayal) – 9:45 a.m. allow water-facing accessory structure to exceed maximum allowable size of 250 square feet and exceed maximum allowable height of 12 feet . LOTS 1, 2 AND 3 Vermilion Point Flat, S10, T62N, R16W (Greenwood) – 10:15 a.m. second addition to a non-conforming main structure, to exceed the allowable add-on size and to allow a width of main structure making facing the water to exceed 40% of the lot width when located within the shoreline setback. (3), to permit a principal construction at a setback reduced from the shoreline and to allow a main construction width facing the water to exceed 40% of the lot width if located within the setback from the shoreline.
