Juellie Charlene Nelson Reinke – Duluth News Tribune

Juellie Charlene Nelson Reinke, 96, of Duluth, MN passed away peacefully on July 3, 2022. Juellie was born in Duluth to Hans and Julia Nelson on April 2, 1926. Growing up she enjoyed many sports, but especially skating on ice and on wheels. She attended Duluth Central High School where she was a cheerleader and graduated in 1944. After high school she became a psychiatric nurse at Glenwood Hills in Minneapolis until she married William K. Wennberg in 1946. Living in Pike Lake, she enjoyed golf, bridge, swimming, PTA, was a Girl Scout leader while raising their 4 children. Life changes brought her back to the workplace where she became a licensed insurance agent. Living in Proctor, she met Fred Reinke. They married in 1994 and enjoyed a honeymoon together in Hawaii and spent their winters in Arizona.

Juellie’s greatest joy was her family. She was “Grandma Jo” to everyone. She was the biggest fan of her grandchildren who attended their games and other school events. She kept in touch with her cousins ​​as they met for “Cousins ​​Lunch” every Wednesday at Bridgeman’s.

Juellie will be missed and loved by all.

Juellie was predeceased by her parents; husband; daughter, Debbie (Gene); and his brother, Harland.

Juellie is survived by her son, Bill (Wendy) Wennberg; daughters, Julie (Mark) Honer and Amy (Rob) Rafferty; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 15 at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m.
