Jerry Jeudy needs to arrive now that Russell Wilson is in town

You can count on a lot of things in life: death, taxes, and the offseason hype about players who didn’t quite reach their potential once the mandatory minicamp started.

So now we need to know all about how Jerry Jeudy is really going to own it this season.

Broncos Country: I’m down. I’m hyped. My orange and blue blood is pumping hard.

But can you just shut up with the hype and show it?

Because in his 26 starts in the NFL so far, all I’ve seen is 1,323 yards on 90 catches with a whopping 3 touchdowns. All of those touchdowns and 856 of those yards were his rookie season.

Don’t get me wrong here. We all know how little I thought about the QB situation in Denver over the past two seasons. I also think Pat Shurmer couldn’t plan the successful offense of a high school football team in 4a.

I just want to talk less and walk more. The way much of the hype is written, Jeudy arrived before the start of the season. He’s been compared to the rest of the NFL as an elite talent with nothing close to on-field play to back that story up.

I’m delighted with Wilson’s connection to Jeudy this season. If Jeudy is truly as good as it says on paper, he will absolutely light up the NFL this season and really help Broncos Country definitely tell the story of how good Denver’s QBs were during his tenure.
