Eldora F. Krueger – Rochester Minnesota news, weather, sports


Eldora Krueger, 105, died on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Seasons Hospice House in Rochester.

Eldora Frieda Grieve was born on May 14, 1916 in Chatfield. She was baptized in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Chatfield and confirmed in 1930.

She married Lawrence Krueger in 1946.

In 1933, she graduated from Chatfield High School. She then attended Winona State University. She returned to Winona State and obtained her associate’s degree, and in 1959, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree.

Eldora has taught at the school for 40 years, including # 138, Pleasant Grove and Chatfield, and the past 25 years at Rochester Public Schools. In 1973, she received the Valley Forge Freedom Metal.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Rochester. She was a member of National Retired Teachers and a life member of the MEA

After her retirement, she and her husband spent 20 winters in Arizona. Eldora enjoyed traveling, reading, maps, various crafts, as well as her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Charles (Ruth) Krueger; grandson, Cletis (Connie) Krueger; granddaughter, Lesley Schwarz; great-granddaughter, Sophie Schwarz. She is predeceased by her husband and mother.

Eldora’s private funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Riley Funeral Home, Chatfield, with Pastor Adam Koglin as officiant. The public visit will take place one hour before the services.
