MOHAVE COUNTY – Many so-called animal shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries are located in Mohave County, but few are actually licensed by the Mohave County government.
If someone is considering adopting a loving pet forever, it is recommended that they do their homework beforehand.
According to the Mohave County Department of Environment, there are currently only 11 businesses/facilities that have applied for, and have been inspected and approved to operate, regarding animals.
